Bjarne Stroustrup

Bjarne Stroustrup Danish: born December 30, 1950) is a Danish computer scientist, known for the development of the C++ programming language.[5] He led the Large-scale Programming Research department at Bell Labs, served as a professor of computer science at Texas A&M University, and spent over a decade at Morgan Stanley while also being a visiting professor at Columbia University. Since 2022 he has been a full professor at Columbia.[6]

Alan Mathison Turing

Alan Mathison Turing 23 June 1912 – 7 June 1954) was an English mathematician, computer scientist, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher and theoretical biologist.[6] He was highly influential in the development of theoretical computer science, providing a formalisation of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general-purpose computer.[7][8][9] Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science.

Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie

Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie (September 9, 1941 – c. October 12, 2011) was an American computer scientist.[3] He created, together with long-time colleague Ken Thompson, the Unix operating system, C programming language, and B programming language.
